Care and Longevity Guide
Care & Longevity Guide
Our wetsuits are built with ultra-premium Yamamoto rubber, performance linings, and refined construction to deliver exceptional warmth, softness, and flexibility. With proper care, your wetsuit will perform better — and last longer — season after season.
After Every Session
- Rinse thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and residue.
- Hang to dry in the shade, first inside-out. Once dry, flip right-side out to finish.
- Use a wide hanger or drape over a rail to prevent shoulder stretch.
Cleaning
- Hand wash only as needed using a wetsuit-safe shampoo or mild, non-detergent soap. Don't use a lot of detergent!
- Never use washing machines, dryers, bleach, or dry cleaners — they break down rubber and seams.
Storage
- Avoid heat and sun exposure — never leave your wetsuit baking in a hot car or drying in direct sunlight.
- Store flat or hung; do not fold to prevent creases and stress points.
Handling Tips
- Don’t yank Pulling aggressively puts unnecessary strain on seams.
- Avoid changing on rough surfaces. Use a towel, mat, or bucket to protect the suit.
- Be mindful of rings, watches, and fingernails, which can snag or puncture the outer fabric.
Repairs & Maintenance
- Repair small nicks or cuts early using neoprene cement to prevent spreading.
- For larger repairs, we recommend using a professional wetsuit repair service to restore performance and extend lifespan.
Built to Last
Thoughtful care prevents premature wear, maintains flexibility and warmth, and keeps your wetsuit performing as intended. A longer-lasting wetsuit is better for your sessions — and better for the planet.
